Today, so many women want to lose weight or just feel comfortable in their own skin…
We count calories.
We exercise more.
We may see initial losses up front, but the weight somehow returns and we end up right back to where we started, and our dream of fitting back into our skinny clothes remains an unachievable fantasy amidst other priorities competing for our attention.
Yet despite this struggle, some women still manage to lose weight, keep it off, AND kick their nagging food addictions.
In my younger years, I wanted to lose weight, keep it off, and not deprive myself of delicious food. But just when I started making progress, as soon as I’d re-enter “real life”, the weight would come back and I’d find myself in a haze of constant energy drain, sugar cravings, and brain fog. It was exhausting.
It was only later I realized I was doing it all wrong. Banning ingredients from my diet wasn’t enough. And no matter how much I exercised, nothing stayed permanent… all because there was one thing I’d never been told. But more on that later.
And when I started talking to other women (and later, clients), found out I wasn’t alone.
Soon enough, I met Renee, a busy 30-something mama of 2 boys living in Longmeadow, MA.
Similar to me, for years she had tried everything, eating healthy and exercising faithfully. She did everything she was “supposed to do,” but there was no change – she had a killer sweet tooth, a regular mid-day energy slump, and extra pounds that just wouldn’t budge despite her best intentions. This left Renee frustrated, confused, and lacking the confidence she desired. After all, she was doing everything she thought to be “right” with no results.
But these problems were not impossible to solve – for Renee or for me. Renee and I weren’t destined to be like this because of our genetics. And while we were both busy mothers, that wasn’t what was holding us back. In fact, today, things look much different for both of us.
Just a few years later, I no longer count calories, I don’t obsess over what I’ll be eating when I go to parties, and I don’t have a collection of “skinny clothes” taking up space in the back of my closet — because I’m wearing them! And best of all, I have tons of natural energy and am not stressed by the idea that I “just have to work harder” at the gym to reach my goals!
Renee’s life looks totally different today too. She doesn’t workout more, she doesn’t count points or measure her food, and her energy is through the roof.
In fact, she told me this:
“I immediately felt lighter and more energetic. Not only did I kick my sweet tooth, but I lost 7 nagging pounds that wouldn’t budge AND my seasonal allergies completely disappeared (a NICE bonus)! I was finally taking care of myself in a way I hadn’t been doing and it was amazing!”
How did these things happen?
Most people think they have to FIGHT their sugar cravings. They go to war and just try harder.
The secret is… you don’t have to FIGHT sugar cravings. With the right strategy, and eating the right combination of foods, you’ll be able to get rid of them entirely!
In fact, I’ve found that if you play your cards right, it’s far easier to lose weight by rebooting your metabolism… so you can eat the same amount (or more) of the right food and weight LESS.
