With summer bidding a sad farewell, and the new school year upon us, it’s time to celebrate. Celebrate fresh starts, crisp new Trapper Keepers {am I totally dating myself?}, and getting our homes and sanity back {a little bit}.
Don’t get me wrong, summer totally rules. I love it. But, come mid-August, we’re all ready to get back into the swing of things.
At the start of the new school year, I’m always inspired to really BRING IT when it comes to packing my #1’s lunches – creating the perfect combo of nourishment and fun. In fact, here are a few samples of her first few weeks in pre-school in her little stainless steel bento box {which we LOVE}.
Buuut, if I’m being totally honest…
“It’s freaking exhausting!”
There, I said it. I tend to hit the wall by the end of September and then revert right back to the old easy button, giving her the same old because, well – it’s easier!

These are great Ideas for kids. What I also find that kids really love are dried fruit or 100% pure fruit pouches.
